So, I missed a quote of the week. The blog needed a little extra TLC so I had to put all my efforts into that. Building, brainstorming, e-mails. Blogging is tough, but I do it as a hobby. Blogging helps my anxiety and depression massively since I really enjoy writing. Always have, always will.
Alright enough of that! Let’s jump in to this week’s quote!
Quote Of The Week 3/31
I am not entirely sure who is the original author of this quote. With all the struggles that we face as mothers, I felt this quote fit right in. Especially with all the roller coasters currently taking me for a ride in my life.
Worrying doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles, it takes away today’s peace.
I am the Queen Bee of worrying. I worry about how much I worry. I worry about my friends and family, my kids, my husband and even our cat, Albus. It consumes a lot of my energy. (What remains after the kids suck it all out of me haha)
This quote is an excellent reminder that worrying does absolutely nothing good. We can sit and ask a million questions and wonder about everything that pops in to our minds, but at the end of the day nothing is accomplished. All we do is disrupt our peace for the present.
Worrying also causes issues with sleep and eating. It is far from healthy no matter what angle you look at it.
My opinion on WHY we worry stems back to our ancestors. My best guess is that worrying about food supplies gave us the motivation to get up and hunt down some grub. It brings you to wonder how they had the ability to do much of anything when they were constantly stressed and worried. So, maybe worrying can be the push you need to get something done, but it also tears you down from the inside out.
